MITEFP-OPEN to hold BAP 2008 on Nov 24

MITEFP-OPEN (MIT Enterprise Forum of Pakistan -- Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs) BAP-2008 (Business Acceleration Program) is to be held from 3 - 8 PM on November 24th, 2008, at the Khurshid Mahal, Avari Hotel, Karachi. NetSol Technologies to acquire US Firm

LAHORE: NetSol Technologies Inc. "NetSol" (NasdaqCM: NTWK - News) (DIFX: NTWK), an IT firm providing global business services and enterprise application solutions to private and public sector organizations worldwide, today announced the company has entered into an agreement to acquire Ciena Solutions LLC, a leading provider of SAP integration management services headquartered in Los Angeles, California with a branch office in San Ramon, California. NetSol will acquire Ciena Solutions for combination of cash and restricted stock. Ciena Solutions is profitable and experienced double-digit growth in revenues and profits in the past year. Commenting on the occasion, Salim Ghauri, Chairman and Chief Executive officer of NetSol Technologies stated, "I am excited to be launching a vibrant and global SAP practice through the acquisition of Ciena Solutions. P@SHA adds Earthquake Relief Drive to its annual event

As most of you are aware, we have the P@SHA ICT Awards 2008 - our flagship event - scheduled for tomorrow at the Karachi Marriott Hotel. This event celebrates the industry, recognizes innovation and is our major annual networking initiative, with the IT & ITES sector coming together with the corporate, government and academic sector. Arrangements are at a stage where commitments, expectations and activities cannot be put to a halt or reversed.It didn't seem right however to proceed as if nothing had happened and to do nothing to assist those who are affected by the earthquake. Quick consultations with the Office bearers of P@SHA - Imran Zia, the Chairman and Sultan Hamdani, the Treasurer - and the President of P@SHA resulted in a consensus that we should go ahead and add an Earthquake Relief Drive to the event. Funds from companies and individuals will be collected at the event and the money will be used to purchase blankets, medicines and essential food items required by the victims. The Relief process will be spearheaded by the P@SHA Secretariat who will form a committee of volunteers from the industry to assist us in ensuring that the IT & ITES industry provides whatever assistance is required. Nissan Financial Services Australia goes live with Netsol Technologies Suite

NetSol Technologies Inc. “NetSol” (NASDAQ CM: NTWK) (DIFX: NTWK) has announced that Nissan Financial Services Australia Pty Ltd (NFSA) launched its business operations powered by NetSol Technologies Financial Suite of leasing and finance products. The contract covers licensing, customization and implementation of the NetSol Financial Suite (NFS) Credit Application Processing System (CAP), Contract Management System (CMS) for retail business operations and Wholesale Finance System (WFS) for wholesale finance management. With the NFS implementation for Nissan Financial Services Australia Pty Ltd successfully launched, this marks the fifth customer in Australia for NetSol’s finance and leasing solutions.
